Preparation guide. This page does not connect an account, accept keys or run AI. Customer connection setup is still being built for a separate garden companion. The current internal office is owner-only. Google or Apple app login is separate from permission to use an AI provider.

Prepare Gemini
- Open Google AI Studio with the Google account you want to own the connection.
- Choose a Cloud project and create a Gemini API key. Review that project’s quota, billing and data-use terms.
- Keep the key private. When customer connections are ready, enter it only in Den & Desk’s connection settings.
Could I use Google sign-in instead?
Gemini supports OAuth, but production authorization, project permissions and billing still need to be designed and verified for Den & Desk. Its ordinary Google login will not automatically give it Gemini access.
Prepare OpenAI
- Open the OpenAI Platform and choose the project that should own your API usage.
- Create a project API key and review the project’s available billing and usage controls.
- Keep the key private until you enter it in the app’s connection settings. Buying a ChatGPT subscription does not automatically fund API-key usage.
Could I sign in with ChatGPT instead?
OpenAI has an official Sign in with ChatGPT program for eligible integrations and AI requests. Den & Desk’s eligibility and registration are not confirmed. We’ll offer this only after approval and verification; no connection button is active here.
Prepare Claude
- Open the Claude Platform with the account that should own your API usage.
- Create a key in the intended workspace and review its billing and spend limits.
- Keep the key private until you enter it in the app’s connection settings. Claude’s app subscription and API access have different usage arrangements.
Could I use my Claude subscription?
Anthropic’s current guidance for developers building products for others is to use API keys or a supported cloud provider. We have not obtained authorization to offer Claude subscription sign-in.
Who pays for AI usage?
Your API provider bills usage under its applicable terms. Some providers offer limited free access. Any Den & Desk app price is separate and has not been announced. Provider limits and availability can change; check the provider’s dashboard before use.
Where should I put the key?
Use the app’s connection settings once available to you. Never post a key in chat, email it to support or place it in a public source repository. This guide has no key field and stores no connection.
